The Good Teamwork Continues!

Orange County law enforcement working together to make our streets safer. This case from Ladera Ranch - unincorporated Orange County.

SUSPECT INFORMATION :
NAME- TAYLOR WILSON WRIGHT

FACTS OF THE CASE:
On June 4, 2005, Orange County Sheriff’s Deputies went to an apartment complex in Ladera Ranch regarding a strong chemical odor emitting from a garage. The Orange County Fire Authority responded, opened the garage door and observed several large containers of different chemicals. These chemicals are extremely toxic and posed a significant danger to the citizens and homes nearby.

Deputies found a fully functioning PCP laboratory, numerous chemicals, 8 gallons of PCP (street value over 10 million dollars), a stolen vehicle, and a loaded firearm in the home and the garage.

POSTSCRIPT OF THE CASE:
Wright was arrested in Los Angeles County on Thursday and is in LA County Jail on $525,000 bail. The suspect was on the O.C. District Attorney's 10 most wanted list.

Many OCSD professionals were involved in looking for this guy including the Sheriff's D.E.T. and PROACT (O.C. Meth Lab Task Force) teams. PROACT consists of law enforcement personnel from OCSD, Santa Ana, Buena Park, Brea, La Habra, OC Probation, OC District Attorney and D.O.J.

The O.C.D.A. worked diligently in helping get Wright into custody through use of the internet and the wanted list, as well as, other law enforcement from other local, State and Federal officials in getting Wright behind bars. A real team effort by all!

The PCP lab itself was a very large and dangerous PCP lab and its seizure had a significant impact on the PCP trade in So Cal.

Good job by all public safety and criminal justice professionals in getting this bad guy off our streets and into jail where he belongs!

Briefing is over. Stay safe out there!

It would be great to see some positive mainstream press about what Law Enforcement can accomplish when it works together instead of seeing mud from campaigning. Thanks for the posting Sarge....perhaps someone will pick it up and run with it.

The Sheriff and District Attorney in Orange County have made it clear that they are taking the epidemic of methamphetamine a real priority. Unlike several agencies in Orange County the Sheriff and D.A. have dedicated personnel to work on PROACT and have remained committed to its cause. Kudos to Sheriff Carona for keeping a team like DET in place to help fight crime and thugs like Wright who would love nothing more than to infect communities with narcotics.

Good job

1422. You are amazing. You just skipped the fact that this person stands accused of manufacturing PCP worth over 10 million dollars and the fact that this illegal drug would have made it onto the streets of primarily black and latino commnities causing more damage and harm to these communities. It is people like you who make the arguement that we should have laws on the books outlawing stupidity.

I deleted the comment that was posted at 1422.

To claim that the post was anything but about a drug dealer that was arrested after a long time on the run is an insult to the men and women that worked on this case for over one year.

Thank you.

I am a neighbor in this complex where the PCP lab and weapons were found. Our neighborhood was extremely appreciative of the professionalism and hard work that these Sheriff's did. The police personnel stayed in our complex for over 12 hours while the toxic mess was cleaned up.

Thank you!

Sarge,

Would you happen to have his Social Security Number and his mother's maiden name?

By the way, PCP labs are specifically banned in Ladera Ranch, under rule 13A(c)(2), subsection 3.

Was that a Carona For Sheriff sign in the guy's window, or his neighbor's?

Sorry, signs banned, too.

Fellow Deps:

Some of this BS I've been reading really gets my blood boiling.

Listen, I worked the Jail, Patrol, The Jail again as sgts, with Bill Hunt. Many, many, many hours just he and I on patrol in SJC. I NEVER, NEVER heard Bill make racist comments. Bill respected the Mexican culture and took the time as most of us did in SJC to learn Spanish.

This "Bean Dipping" accusation is false. I only heard one guy use this term, and he's half hispanic and was only kidding. He is now a sergeant and also worked with us. But, as far as Hunt goes, I never saw him act in a racist manner, use excessive force, etc,. All of us in SJC took pride that we made our observation arrests abiding by the letter of the law, never violating anyone's constitutional rights.

I always enjoyed working with Hunt. SJC had some really good cops... Hunt, Moy, Bolong, Dwyer, Virgoe, Heaney.

Further, I never heard Hunt catagorically degrade female deputies. I know he stated several times that he thought Cindy Edes was a good street cop. We had one female in SJC. ( She left when she inherited millions of dollars.) She used to duck calls, and never arrive 10-97 first, etc., We all bitched about her. But Bill never said any sexist about female deputies in general. (Hell at the time, his wife Debbie was a deputy. By the way, Debbie was a classy lady and a good deputy. Not to mention beautiful )

Lastly, I have known Quint since 1982. Our wifes worked together at Albertsons. They lived near us, and we'd see each others family alot. This shit about Quint being a wife beater is utter Bull. I can never imagine Quint hitting anyone in anger much less his wife. I have never seen her with the telltale marks or bruises. Plus women talk and she never said a bad word about him. Hell, he is still with his 1st wife. How manny of us can say that??? Just chalk that accusation up as another wild lie.

So, if don't support Hunt.... Fine. That's OK and your right as an American.

But, please stop posting rumors and lies. I would hate for some of the new deputies to read that shit and believe it.

Both Hunt and Quint are good deputies. I believe they are both moral and ethical. I believe they are valuable assets to OCSD. I am PROOUD to count them as friends and partners.
